The USA Pavilion is being spearheaded by Friends of the USA Pavilion Milan 2015, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization formed by two leading organizations at the forefront of food-system thought leadership and American gastronomy, the James Beard Foundation and the International Culinary Center. They are working in association with the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy and a diverse team of experts and advisors from across the United States of America, with the support of the National Italian American Foundation.


Located in the heart of central Milan, atop the landmark Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the James Beard American Restaurant at Seven Stars Galleria will provide a showcase for great chefs, products, ingredients, beverages, and other American gastronomic delights. Much the way the James Beard House in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village functions as a showcase for American cuisine, the restaurant in Milan will be a culinary centerpiece of the USA Pavilion.


Throughout the six months of Expo Milano 2015, every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night at the James Beard American Restaurant, visiting guest chefs from across America will prepare special five-course, regional, prix-fixe menus to celebrate the finest ingredients and cuisine from the United States. Sundays will feature brunch throughout the day, complete with jazz, gospel, and other classic American entertainment.
