Whitney Edwards

Director of Events
Benchmarc Events by Marc Murphy

You could say Whitney’s passion for food and hospitality was something she was born with. A Nashville native, food was never just a meal especially since her mother owned a catering company. A graduate of New York University’s Gallatin School, Whitney created her own major choosing to focus on food studies and communications. Looking for a way to break into hospitality, she soon realized her experience in events both personally and professionally was the path. In 2011, she worked for Loulie Walker Events learning the complex world of wedding planning.  In 2012 she found the perfect recipe at Benchmarc Events where she is able to combine her knack for attention to detail and love of food, resulting in an event worth remembering. Starting as an events manager to now events director, she oversees the various sides of restaurant events – from sales to menu planning, marketing activations and special occasions that really run the gamut; she gets a taste of something different everyday.
